Born in New York, Frederick John Eversley is an African American Los Angeles-based Sculptor. In the late 1960’s, Frederick abandoned his career as an engineer for the Apollo Space program in Houston and became an artist instead. Many of Eversley’s sculptures features colorful parabola shaped glass with a see through in the center of his works. The sculptures are attracting as well as reflecting back to the spectator. His work can be seen at J. Paul Getty Museum and the Hammer Museum.
