Guy Wiggins was born in Brooklyn, New York but soon after left with his family to live in England. In the 1890s, Wiggins moved back to
America where he began studying architecture at the Polytechnic Institute in Brooklyn. He then later went to the National Academy of
Design and studied painting. When Wiggins was just twenty years old, his work became a part of the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Throughout his life, he went on to win many awards from the Art Institute of Chicago, Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, the Salmagundi Club, and the Art Club of Philadelphia. Some of Wiggins’s best works are his Connecticut landscapes. Guy Wiggins’s work is displayed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
