Born in San Francisco, California, Jules Eugene Pages was raised by an artistic father and worked as an apprentice for him at his engraving
business. Like many young artists, Pages later traveled to Paris to study at the Academie Julian. During a brief return to San Francisco, Pages worked as an illustrator for newspapers. Shortly after, he traveled back to France where he began to teach at the Academie Julian.
Pages’s work has been exhibited at the Steckel Gallery in Los Angeles, Oakland Museum, Museum of Toulouse, Luxembourg Museum, San Diego Museum, and many other public and private collections.
